Assuming that you are passionate about Wikipedia and that you have at least 2.2 GB of available space on your iPhone, you’ll be pleased to learn that a developer has developed an application to store all contents of the famous collaborative encyclopedia in memory directly from your phone! For now, only English and German versions of Wikipedia can be downloaded, but the French version will follow no doubt.
It is necessary to have a jailbroken iPhone open to third party applications to install a small software that will navigate the Wikipedia articles. Then it needs to download an image content of the encyclopedia, then transfer them to his phone. We find here an image of the English version, with articles dating back to October 2007, and is a version in German, dated January 2008.

For those who have a permanent connection Edge, we will obviously look to the web version of Wikipedia optimized iPhone & iPod Touch.
